As a licensed psychologist, I help people understand, manage, and change thoughts, emotions, and behaviors using evidence-based therapies (like CBT, DBT, and ACT). Psychologists focus on practical skills, insight, and lasting change.
At Still River Counseling, I offer two core services: therapy and counseling for individuals, couples, and families, and assessment and diagnosis for ADHD.
In your hardest moments, I meet you in the mess without judgment and help you live more intentionally. Together, we uncover what you already know, make space for the things you can’t say anywhere else, and build realistic strategies and skills to navigate what comes next.
Safe space for young people to process emotions and build resilience.
Develop executive functioning skills, improve focus, and create realistic strategies that work with your brain, not against it.
Learn practical coping strategies to manage overwhelming thoughts and step off autopilot into intentional living.
Find your path forward while honoring what you've lost and what matters most.
Strengthen communication, resolve conflicts, and build deeper connections that honor your family's unique journey.
Healing-focused approach that helps you process difficult experiences and reclaim your strength.
Navigate the complexities of adoption with guidance from someone who understands the process.
Stigma-free support from a psychologist who's worked inside healthcare settings.
We’ll start where you are. For some, that’s immediate tools to calm reactivity, manage time, and communicate clearly. For others, it’s processing loss, trauma, or identity shifts with care and pacing.
Clarify thinking patterns and behaviors that keep you stuck.
Build attention and presence; respond instead of react.
Reduce shame; increase resilience and motivation.
Safety, pacing, consent, and choice at every step.
Decide what matters and let that guide action.
Explore how early experiences affect adult choices and experiences.
Understand how each family member affects the entire family.
I offer in-person sessions in Central Austin and secure telehealth sessions for clients located in states where I’m licensed to practice and in participating PSYPACT states. I’m not in-network with any insurance companies, but I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your plan if they reimburse for out-of-network services, or for use with your HSA/FSA.
Yes. The building is wheelchair accessible, and I use high‑contrast, easy‑to‑read materials (including dyslexia‑friendly fonts). I’m committed to inclusive, affirming care for all genders, orientations, family structures, faith backgrounds, and cultures. If you need specific accommodations (sensory-friendly space, interpreter, accessible parking details), email ahead and we will discuss your needs.
We start with what’s bringing you in, how it’s affecting daily life, and what you’ve already tried. Together, we set a few realistic goals and choose an approach (practical tools, space to process, or a mix). You’ll usually leave with one simple next step. You can go at your pace, no pressure, no judgment.
I’m an out‑of‑network provider. Many clients use HSA/FSA funds and submit a superbill to request reimbursement from their insurer. I’ll provide the documentation you need and a transparent receipt for each session. Fees are shared upfront before you schedule.
Yes. I work with teens and families. For minors, I collaborate with caregivers while protecting the teen’s appropriate privacy. We’ll discuss consent, confidentiality, and when parents are included (e.g., safety concerns, major treatment decisions) at the start.
Yes. I provide assessment for ADHD and pre-adoption evaluations. Evaluations may include a clinical interview, rating scales, cognitive/academic testing (as indicated), and collateral input. You’ll receive a feedback session and a clear written report with practical recommendations. When appropriate, reports can support school/work accommodations.
Yes. I offer sessions in person in Central Austin and via secure telehealth for clients located in states where I’m licensed or eligible to provide clinical services (PSYPACT participating states). We can decide what works best for your schedule, access needs, and comfort.
The initial evaluation is 60 minutes, and ongoing sessions are typically 50 minutes. Many people start weekly and shift to biweekly or monthly as progress stabilizes. We’ll tailor the cadence to your goals and capacity.
PSYPACT is an interstate compact that allows licensed psychologists in participating states to practice telepsychology across state lines without needing additional licenses in each state.
